With the theme “Imprints from a resilient generation”, the Graduation Ceremony not only honored the outstanding academic achievements of the new graduates but also recognized the perseverance and fortitude of a generation of students who grew up from an unprecedented distance in the history of globaleducation .

Students of the second course (from 3 training institutes: Health Sciences - Engineering and Computer Science - Business Administration) started their university journey from online classes, but instead of slowing down, the students proactively moved forward with a steadfast spirit and a desire to conquer knowledge, creating a proud mark.

After 4 years of training, even before graduation, 55% of students were recruited by multinational corporations and large enterprises such as Google, Qualcomm, BCG, Unilever, P&G, VinRobotics... Many new graduates started their careers in high-potential positions such as Trainee Administrator, Product Development Manager...
26% of students are admitted to master's and doctoral programs at prestigious global universities, nearly 50% of which are Top 20 universities such as Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley (USA), NUS and NTU (Singapore).

9 outstanding students received direct admission letters to PhD programs with full scholarships from prestigious universities such as National University of Singapore (NUS), University of California, Santa Barbara, University of Texas, Dallas... Among them, many students are authors and co-authors of high-quality works on generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, behavioral monitoring and distributed learning, reported at leading A* conferences on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning such as ICML, ICLR, and IJCAI.

Professor Laurent El Ghaoui - Vice President in charge of Research and Innovation, Director of the Institute of Engineering and Computer Science, VinUni University was moved when awarding the graduation certificate.
A new graduate has received a contract to work and research on software engineering at Google, USA with a salary of up to 200,000 USD/year. Right before the graduation ceremony, student Nguyen Thu Ha Anh (student of the School of Business Administration) excellently received an invitation to the 2+2 MBA program of Harvard Business School (under Harvard University) with a 2-year working schedule, following 2 years of MBA study.
Many students boldly start businesses in the fields of educational technology, healthcare and new materials. Notably, Tran Dinh Le Hoang (Institute of Business Administration) successfully raised 1.3 billion VND from VFS Global for Dynapath, a startup on new materials and renewable energy, developing a solution to turn plastic waste into special floor tiles that can generate electricity with each step.
Professor Soumitra Dutta, Dean of the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and member of the VinUni Advisory Board, shared: “You have begun your university journey in the midst of a global crisis - when the pandemic changed the way you live, learn and lead. You have studied in conditions that few have ever experienced, with online classes and social distancing. But it is in this adversity that you have demonstrated your resilience, courage and ambition. Today, you are not just new graduates, but pioneers, ready to shape the future with intelligence, commitment and innovation.”

Professor Soumitra Dutta - Dean of Saïd Business School, Oxford University, member of VinUni Advisory Board, gave an inspirational speech to the 2nd batch of new graduates.
Sharing at the ceremony, Professor Vu Ha Van - Director of Science at VinBigData, Professor of Mathematics at Yale University and member of the VinUni Board of Directors also emphasized: “Success is not only measured by fame or fortune; true success is when you make a difference and support others on your own journey to success. Those qualities will be the solid foundation for you to create long-term value for society.”

Not only growing up in challenges, the new graduates of the second course also accompanied and participated in creating historical milestones of the school such as the event of VinUni becoming the youngest university, with the fastest speed in the world to achieve comprehensive QS 5-Star certification; the event of VinUni announcing its strategy to reach the Top 100 excellent universities in the world, contributing to the realization of the goal of becoming an excellent university in Vietnam.
Representing the second batch of students, Phan Huu Hoang Gia Bao, School of Business Administration, said: “We not only strive for ourselves, but also carry the hopes of our families, supporting, learning and growing together. On that journey, we have made a small contribution to VinUni’s journey to the world with our dedication, desire to create and belief in a future that can be lit right here.”
