National U21 2025: PVF, The Cong Viettel compete for championship

(NLDO) – After overcoming a tough opponent in the semi-finals, U21 PVF and The Cong Viettel will meet in the final match of the 2025 National U21 tournament, taking place on July 31.

In the first semi-final, U21 PVF won 1-0 against U21 Hanoi thanks to Anh Tuan's header in the 77th minute.

Before that, the two teams played closely in the first half with a fairly balanced game. In the second half, U21 PVF controlled the ball better, created many clear opportunities and took advantage of them to win a ticket to the final.

In the second semi-final, U21 The Cong Viettel had a dramatic match against U21 TP HCM. Trailing after Phi Hung's goal, the white team tried to push up their formation and in the 69th minute, Hoang Khang equalized 1-1 with a beautiful finish.

The two teams drew 1-1 after 90 minutes of play, forcing the winner to be decided by a penalty shootout. In the nerve-wracking shootout, U21 The Cong Viettel won 5-4, thanks to Huu Luan's decisive shot and a crossbar rebound from a player from Ho Chi Minh City.

Thus, the final match is between U21 PVF and U21 The Cong Viettel. This is considered a promising match, as both are youth training centers with many achievements in Vietnamese football. This match will take place on July 31.

In addition, the two losing teams in the semi-finals, U21 Hanoi and U21 Ho Chi Minh City, both won third place in the tournament.
