Faced with the complicated developments of the tropical depression that is likely to strengthen into a storm and cause widespread flooding, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh has just issued an official dispatch requesting its affiliated units and educational institutions in the area to urgently and seriously deploy response measures.

Accordingly, the Ha Tinh Department of Education requires schools and continuing education centers to fully implement the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training (Telegram No. 1307/CD-BGDDT dated August 18, 2025) and the Provincial People's Committee (Telegram No. 26/CD-UBND dated August 22, 2025) on proactively preventing and combating natural disasters. Units must closely monitor the developments of storm No. 5 (Kajiki), maintain 24/7 duty, prepare plans to move records, equipment, and facilities to safe places, and coordinate with local authorities and organizations to be ready to respond to and overcome the consequences of storms and floods, ensuring school safety before the new school year 2025 - 2026.

The Department also reminded educational institutions to strengthen propaganda and equip students and parents with skills to prevent natural disasters, especially drowning, landslides, and traffic accidents. Schools absolutely must not organize educational activities during storms, especially in areas at risk of flooding and landslides.

In addition, units must establish information channels with parents to manage students, promptly report to local authorities and the Department of Education and Training when natural disasters occur, in order to have plans to direct and handle them urgently, minimizing risks to students and educational institutions.
