Son La Youth looks forward to celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, all localities and units were filled with jubilant atmosphere welcoming the great holiday. Sharing in that joy, Son La youth actively carried out many practical activities, arousing national pride and the responsibility of youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

During the historic August days, all over the central areas, the streets of To Hieu, Truong Chinh, Chu Van Thinh, Hoang Quoc Viet were covered with flags and flowers. Standing out in the middle of the mountain town, Tay Bac Square was the gathering place for many young people in union uniforms, traditional ao dai, and national costumes to take photos next to the Party flag and the national flag. Dong Xen Park, Chieng Coi Ward, a youth project implemented by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, stood out with signs "I love the Fatherland" and "Proud of Vietnam" becoming an ideal place for young union members and people to take photos.

Ly Nhat Vy, group 8, To Hieu ward, shared: Everywhere is filled with flags and flowers to celebrate the great national holiday, spreading the honor and pride of the homeland and country. In addition to taking photos and posting on Facebook and Zalo to respond, I also show my patriotism by competing to study well, so that in the future I can become a useful person who contributes to the development of my homeland.

From wards to remote, border communes, many main roads and alleys in the province have been built by the Youth Union as "National Flag Roads". The most prominent is the National Flag Road in the rice fields of Suoi Lin village, Van Ho commune, adding to the peaceful picture of the homeland and showing the value of peace . Mr. Dang Van Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Suoi Lin village, Van Ho commune, proudly said: The Youth Union mobilized youth union members and people to hang 150 national flags along the road across the terraced fields of the village. The National Flag Road has attracted many tourists to visit, take pictures and images of the road have been widely spread on social networks.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Provincial Youth Union has issued a plan to organize a series of activities and propaganda that are bold, consistent, and focused in August and September with many vivid forms that have a wide influence. Mr. Lo Manh Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: The highlight of the series of welcoming activities is that the Provincial Youth Union organized the "National Aspiration Festival", with the participation of more than 3,000 youth union members who are students; inaugurated a youth project at the Dong Xen Water Park stage, Chieng Coi ward. Coordinated the organization of the talk show "Stories of the Fire and War" with authentic and touching battlefield memories from former youth volunteers, so that the Youth Union members and students can directly listen and understand more deeply about the history of the nation, thereby fostering love for the homeland, national pride and a sense of responsibility in inheriting and promoting revolutionary traditions.

Youth Union bases organize a peak week of political activities "Pride of Vietnam"; carry out "National Flag Road" routes; select and carry out meaningful youth projects such as: Decorating offices, schools, classrooms, public spaces with the national flag and the Pride of Vietnam identity set; visiting "red addresses", repairing and embellishing martyrs' cemeteries; visiting and giving gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, organizing activities towards community life, cultural and artistic activities, sports...

Directing the Youth Union branches to respond to the "Red Social Network" campaign launched by the Central Youth Union, by changing the profile picture and posting content, images, and videos expressing pride in the national flag. The Youth Union branches also posted images, volunteer stories, and meaningful activities towards National Day September 2 on social networking sites such as Facebook, TikTok, Zalo... creating a high spreading effect, attracting thousands of views and shares.

The activities in response to the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) of Son La youth have aroused pride, demonstrated determination to study, work, create, promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, initiative, volunteering for the community, contributing youth to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
