An Binh Youth Volunteers for Community Life

Promoting the pioneering spirit of the youth, the Youth Union members of An Binh ward have been organizing many volunteer activities for community life; taking care of students and children in difficult circumstances; and at the same time organizing activities to participate in building a civilized urban area.

The An Binh Ward Youth Union has just organized the "Green Sunday" program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). Accordingly, 60 Youth Union members of the ward launched environmental sanitation, collected garbage, cleared bushes... on Nguyen Van Cu Street, the section passing through the ward. On this occasion, the Ward Youth Union coordinated with the ward's branches and organizations to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, visit the City's Martyrs Cemetery, visit historical and cultural relics... Ms. Le Thi Bao Tran, in the My Phuoc area, said: "The activities organized by the Ward Youth Union have helped me better understand the contributions and sacrifices of generations of fathers and grandfathers during the resistance wars. That is the motivation for me to be determined to do good work...".

From the beginning of 2025 to now, An Binh Ward Youth Union has carried out well the movement "Youth join hands to build a civilized urban area". About 500 Youth Union members of the ward participated in 10 environmental sanitation campaigns, removing illegal advertisements on electric poles. The Ward Youth Union coordinated to organize activities to distribute leaflets to propagate about the environment, pledges not to violate the environment; environmental sanitation on the roads, at agencies and units; organize flower planting on the roads; draw propaganda pictures about cultural and civilized urban lifestyles... The ward's youth also coordinated to propagate and raise awareness about classifying domestic solid waste, preventing and fighting HIV/AIDS; awareness of fire prevention and fighting and participation in maintaining order and traffic safety among Youth Union members and students; participate in maintaining environmental sanitation, green - clean - beautiful landscapes...

The ward Youth Union focuses on implementing well the programs accompanying the Youth Union members in studying, starting a business, establishing a career and developing social skills, improving physical fitness, cultural and spiritual life. In particular, the unit regularly organizes support activities, creating conditions for cadres and Youth Union members to participate in studying, improving their academic qualifications, expertise, and professional skills through professional skill improvement classes. The affiliated Youth Union branches maintain good non-interest capital contribution groups for the Youth Union members to help each other in studying and establishing a career. The clubs and groups of Youth Union members cooperating in economic activities managed by the ward Youth Union continue to operate effectively.

At the same time, since the beginning of 2025, the Ward Youth Union has mobilized and presented 100 gifts to children and students who have overcome difficulties to study well, with a total value of over 30 million VND. Particularly in the summer of 2025, the Ward Youth Union organized many activities to care for students, such as English Club activities; coordinated training in fire prevention, fire fighting, first aid; exchanged and learned about hometown traditions...

According to Ms. Truong Thanh Van, in charge of the Youth Union of An Binh Ward, after implementing the 2-level local government, the Executive Committee of the Ward Youth Union has united, overcome difficulties; performed well the work of solidarity, and gathered young union members in the areas. The Youth Union branches have been gradually consolidated, completing assigned tasks... In the coming time, the Ward Youth Union will focus on organizing activities to take care of policy families and people in difficult circumstances; mobilize to help students build and repair houses; organize activities such as "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday"... At the same time, coordinate with the Police and Military forces to organize patrols and guards, ensure political security, social order and safety in combination with activities to ensure traffic order and safety and build civilized urban areas.
