The People's Procuracy of Dong Nai province has just completed the indictment against a group of "brokers" who protected vehicles passing through the Suoi Tre Traffic Police Station. A total of 13 defendants were prosecuted for the crimes of "bribery brokerage" and "fraudulent appropriation of property".

Among them, the group prosecuted for the crime of "bribery brokerage" includes: Truong Cong Quang, Tran Quang Tan, Nguyen Dang Khoa, Dang Van Ut, Tran Thi Dieu Hoa, Nguyen Van Hau, Ngo Van Dam, and Le Bao Ngoc.
The group prosecuted for "fraudulent appropriation of property" includes Le Bao Ngoc, Hoang Thi Viet Ha, Hoang Hiep, Hoang Thanh Sy, and Ta Thi Thu Tra.
According to the indictment, Suoi Tre Traffic Police Station (under the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province) is responsible for patrolling and controlling two national highways, including National Highway 1A (from Binh Minh Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai to the border with Binh Thuan Province) and National Highway 56, from Xuan Tan Commune (Tan Phong intersection, Xuan Tan Ward, Long Khanh City, Dong Nai) to the border with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province (Xuan My Commune, Cam My District, Dong Nai).
From January 2021 to September 2022, the defendants Truong Cong Quang, Dang Van Ut, Nguyen Van Hau, Ngo Van Dam, Tran Thi Dieu Hoa and Le Bao Ngoc collected money from vehicle owners and drivers who violated traffic laws (a total of more than 2.7 billion VND) and then gave it to Tran Quang Tan to bribe traffic police to ignore the violations.
From March 2021 to September 2022, another ring led by Nguyen Dang Khoa received money from many car owners and drivers (with a total amount of more than 1.2 billion VND) and then gave it to Tran Quang Tan to bribe traffic police to ignore violations.
On September 30, 2022, Tran Quang Tan, Nguyen Dang Khoa, Truong Cong Quang, Dang Van Ut, and Nguyen Van Hau were urgently arrested by the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province for investigation. Other related suspects were arrested one after another to serve the investigation.
According to the indictment, during the investigation expansion process, the Investigation Police Agency also determined that from November 2021 to November 2022, many car owners and drivers gave Le Bao Ngoc (Director of Bao Ngoc Transport Trading Company Limited), Hoang Hiep (Director of Bao Tram Transport Trading and Service Company Limited) and Hoang Thi Viet Ha, Ta Thi Thu Tra, Hoang Thanh Sy a total amount of more than 1.8 billion VND to buy and attach the logos of Bao Ngoc Company and Bao Tram Company. In return, the car owners were promised "protection" by the 5 defendants above, and committed not to be fined by the traffic police.
