Today, June 10, Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (hereinafter referred to as Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy) announced information on university admissions for 2025. Accordingly, this year Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy added 2 new groups, while still using the method of considering candidates with IELTS certificates.

With the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school not only considers the B00 group (math, chemistry, biology) but also adds 2 new groups: D07 (math, chemistry, English) and D08 (math, biology, English).
When determining the benchmark, the school considers the major and uses a common score for all combinations.

In addition to the direct admission methods according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, based on the results of the high school graduation exam, Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy also uses the following methods: admission based on the results of the HSA competency assessment test of Hanoi National University; admission of candidates with IELTS certificates or international English certificates; admission according to the specific mechanism of Hanoi National University.
Notably, Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy allows candidates to use IELTS certificate or equivalent international English certificate as the third subject in all groups.
The admission score is the sum of the converted IELTS score plus the scores of the remaining 2 subjects in the 4 admission groups: B00 (math, biology), A00 (math, chemistry), D07 (math, chemistry) and D08 (math, biology).
Specifically, the conversion points are specified as follows:
For each method, Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy sets out a number of accompanying conditions.
For example, for candidates using HSA assessment results, the HSA test must have a biology topic if applying for medical, dental, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, nursing majors; must have a chemistry topic if applying for pharmaceutical majors.
Candidates must have an average score of 8 or higher in biology in 3 years of high school for medical and dental majors; 7 or higher for medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology and nursing.
For pharmacy, candidates must have an average chemistry score of 8 or higher in 3 years of high school.
The results of the 2025 high school graduation exam meet the entrance threshold for the admission major according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University.
