On October 23, Quang Ninh Provincial Police said that Lieutenant Dang Anh Tuan - a police officer of Quang Yen Ward, Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh Province - had just returned money, gold, and personal documents to a woman who had lost them in the area.

Accordingly, in the early morning of October 22, while on a night patrol mission in the area of Nguyen Du Street (back gate of Rung Market, Zone 3, Quang Yen Ward), Lieutenant Dang Anh Tuan picked up a handbag containing: 500,000 VND in cash, 3 gold rings, 1 gold bracelet and many personal papers bearing the name Bui Thi Mai Trang.
Immediately after picking up the bag containing the above mentioned assets, Mr. Dang Anh Tuan reported to the unit leader and tried to verify and contact Ms. Bui Thi Mai Trang, the owner of the above mentioned handbag.
That same morning, Lieutenant Tuan contacted Ms. Trang and determined that her information matched the identification documents inside the bag.
Ms. Trang went to the Ward Police Station to claim back the handbag containing the above-mentioned assets. After verifying the information, in the presence of the Commander of the Quang Yen Ward Police, Lieutenant Tuan returned the assets to the person who lost them, Ms. Bui Thi Mai Trang (born in 1993, living in Zone 3, Quang Yen Ward, Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh Province).
Ms. Trang was touched and said that she was lucky to receive back her valuable property and important documents. She thanked the police officers of Quang Yen ward for their meaningful work.
