Central Committee of Vietnam Veterans Association returns to the source in Thai Nguyen.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Volunteer Force (July 15, 1950 - July 15, 2025) and the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 9, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association organized a program to return to the source in Thai Nguyen province.

Attending the event were representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, central mass organizations; 100 delegates and members of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers from the Northeastern, Northwestern and Red River Delta provinces. Leaders of Thai Nguyen province attended the event with comrades: Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Hoang Thu Trang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation organized an incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the National Historical Relic Site on July 27; and offered incense at the National Historical Relic Site - the birthplace of the Vietnam Youth Volunteer Team in Phu Xuyen commune.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association reported to Uncle Ho the outstanding achievements of the past term. To date, the country has more than 400,000 members. Since 2019, the Association has coordinated to resolve nearly 20,000 one-time social assistance applications, more than 900 regular assistance applications, 18,000 burial expense applications, issued over 156,000 health insurance cards and recognized 70 Youth Volunteers martyrs.

Through socialized resources, the Association has mobilized over 712 billion VND to care for policy beneficiaries, presented nearly 1 million gifts, thousands of savings books, gratitude houses, organized over 2,500 medical examinations and treatments, provided free medicine, and supported the elderly, the lonely, and the homeless. Over 1,000 glorious Youth Volunteer Medals have been awarded and posthumously awarded to outstanding individuals.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union and the Central Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Vietnam presented 30 gifts to 30 former Youth Volunteers in difficult and lonely circumstances; presented 20 scholarships to children who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies in Thai Nguyen province; and supported the construction of 5 Charity Houses for 5 former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances in Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho provinces.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Delegation continued to organize incense and flower offering activities at the National Historical Site of Youth Volunteers Company 915, Gia Sang Ward.
