Helping over 1.5 million people during Humanitarian Month 2025

On the afternoon of June 20, according to information from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, during the Humanitarian Month of 2025, the entire Society system assisted more than 1.5 million people (reaching 290% of the target), worth 709,422 billion VND (reaching 177% of the target).

With the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love", Humanitarian Month 2025 continues to promote the positive results achieved by Humanitarian Month in recent years, spreading humanitarian activities, expanding the network of sharing, connecting the community, demonstrating a profound humanitarian spirit to support the community, especially those in difficult circumstances.

This year's Humanitarian Month is also an opportunity for Red Cross officials, members, volunteers, and youth to pay tribute to previous generations through humanitarian works and activities in lands marked by history.

The results of resource mobilization during the Humanitarian Month increased nearly twice as much as planned. During the Humanitarian Month, the entire Association system assisted more than 1.5 million people (290% of the target), worth 709,422 billion VND (177% of the target).

Of which, sustainable humanitarian assistance for 3,785 individual and collective humanitarian addresses with a total value of 118,304 billion VND (support for building Red Cross houses, supporting the livelihoods of poor and disadvantaged households; supporting bookcases and clean water systems for schools; supporting the construction and repair of boarding kitchens).

At the same time, visit, give gifts, and provide emergency support to 1,086,697 people, worth 584.235 billion VND; organize 378 training classes and practice first aid safety skills with a value of 6.883 billion VND.

45 provinces and cities have models implementing the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" in the Humanitarian Month of 2025 with a number of typical models, such as: Free patient transport; 0 VND bus; 0 VND kitchen; 0 VND breakfast; 1K bread...

Notably, the online sports campaign "Millions of steps of kindness - Continuing the golden history" attracted 200,773 athletes to participate with a total distance of 7.47 million km, converting the sports achievements into humanitarian support resources equivalent to 5.62 billion VND.

The success of Humanitarian Month 2025 once again affirms the core, bridging and coordinating role of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in humanitarian work. It is also a clear demonstration of the power of compassion and solidarity for a loving, humane and sustainably developed community.
