More than 354,000 elderly people are granted health insurance cards.

On the afternoon of June 19, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a conference to review the work of the NCT Association in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Association of the Elderly has actively and proactively implemented the program of the Association of the Elderly, continued to improve the organization of the Association at all levels; propaganda work, raising awareness, gathering and attracting members have been promoted with many diverse forms, the whole province has recruited more than 6,100 new members. The whole association has 198 communes, wards and towns that have built a fund "Caring for and promoting the role of the elderly" with a balance of nearly 29 billion VND, the grassroots association fund reached more than 5.3 billion VND. On the occasion of holidays, New Year, and anniversaries, the Provincial Association of the Elderly has organized longevity celebrations for more than 59,000 elderly people with a total expenditure of more than 20 billion VND. The whole province currently has more than 354,000 elderly people granted health insurance cards, of which more than 10,800 are over 80 years old. The Provincial Elderly Association in collaboration with Thai Binh Eye Hospital organized free examinations and consultations for over 18,000 elderly people, of whom over 6,700 had cataracts and other eye diseases. The association has exemplary members in economic development with nearly 1,000 elderly people who are owners of farms, ranches, and production facilities, of whom 700 elderly people have an income of billions of VND each year.

In the last 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Association of the Elderly will continue to propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially new policies to all members. Proactively review and streamline the executive committee, standing committee, advise the Party Committee on personnel after the reorganization; continue to implement the Association's tasks in the last 6 months of the year without interruption or omission of tasks; ensure good policies and regimes for members, encourage elderly members to promote the role of "Old age - Bright example" to enthusiastically compete in economic development and homeland construction.
