Shoe fashion exhibition by designer who worked with Lady Gaga to celebrate 30 years of Vietnam-Israel relations

On the afternoon of July 12, the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam coordinated with Vincom Center for Contemporary Art to organize a shoe fashion exhibition week by Israeli shoe designer Kobi Levi on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-Israel diplomatic relations (July 12, 1993 - July 12, 2023).

Mr. Kobi Levi, a famous Israeli shoe designer, brought to fashion lovers in Hanoi a creative exhibition called FootWearArt. On display were 24 products by Mr. Kobi Levi representing a series of distinctive creative works, inspired by nature, animals, everyday life and especially famous artists. Speaking at the event, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer emphasized: “This is a meaningful event because it takes place on the day marking 30 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel. We want to show the combination of innovation and art, with different thinking and aesthetics”. Ambassador Yaron Mayer emphasized that the event is part of a series of commemorative activities and is a new idea for friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

During his career, Mr. Kobi Levi has had the honor of designing for famous artists such as Lady Gaga, Fergi, Netta Barzilai and Whoopi Goldberg. Among them, it is worth mentioning the design of the Double boots worn by singer Lady Gaga in the MV "Born this way" and the Chewing-gum pair worn by singer Fergie in the MV "MILF$." Present at the exhibition, the founder and CEO of Cready Creative Rose Nguyen shared: "For me, art is something that can come from different materials, not just a painting, or a picture, or a piece of music, but art comes from all the materials of life". Graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Mr. Kobi Levi set up his own design studio in Tel Aviv and exhibited his first works on his personal blog, from which he attracted global attention. His designs have been exhibited in the Netherlands, UK, Hong Kong (China), the US and many other places before coming to Vietnam. In addition to the FootWearArt exhibition, Mr. Kobi Levi will also collaborate with Vietnamese designer Wuan Phan in the "Double Match" collection in the Vietnam International Fashion Week program - Vietnam International Fashion Week 2023, from July 13-16 in Ho Chi Minh City.
