From a besieged and isolated country, Vietnam has become a rapidly growing economy, ranked among the top 32 economies in terms of GDP. Along with that, security and national defense have been increasingly consolidated, capable of protecting sovereignty and actively contributing to regional and international stability. That position has been prominently demonstrated at the exhibition of the country's 80-year achievements.

Technology is getting more and more advanced

When talking about the stature of the country, we cannot fail to mention the large construction projects that have been and are growing up, stretching across the country, considered as the launching pad for the country to "take off" in the new era. At the exhibition area of achievements in transport infrastructure - construction, the image of cable-stayed bridges representing Rach Mieu Bridge, My Thuan Bridge, Bai Chay Bridge, Nhat Tan Bridge... - the bridges of the century symbolizing the achievements of innovation and integration. The construction of those bridges, along with a series of large projects such as highways, airports, seaports, high-speed railway projects... requires strong technological innovation in the construction industry.

A series of new technologies that help improve quality, shorten progress and optimize costs were introduced at the exhibition, such as modern bridge and tunnel construction techniques; building information modeling (BIM); intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Viewers also learned about digital platforms such as GIS, IoT, AI that are being applied to infrastructure management, real-time construction supervision, intelligent traffic forecasting and regulation, gradually forming a digital, green and sustainable transportation system...

In particular, the exhibits in the “Aspiration for the Sky” section of the construction industry made a strong impression on viewers with 4 real aircraft representing each stage of the formation and development of the Vietnamese aviation industry. These are an IL-14 aircraft that was once used as a private jet for President Ho Chi Minh; an Airbus A320 aircraft demonstrating the ability to master technology, operate and maintain new generation modern aircraft; a TP-150 light aircraft designed and manufactured by a Vietnamese enterprise; a helicopter of the 18th Army Corps serving defense missions and socio-economic activities.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy said that the advanced construction technologies displayed at the exhibition are being widely applied in many major projects in the country, not only as a driving force for socio-economic growth but also as a symbol of the aspiration to rise up with Vietnamese intelligence and technology, towards a synchronous, smart, green and modern infrastructure network by 2045.

While the construction industry has made an impression in building the country’s stature, the health sector has attracted viewers with many breakthrough achievements in people’s health care. From field clinics during the resistance war, important milestones such as eliminating smallpox, polio, and controlling SARS. Up to now, the health sector has had outstanding achievements in organ transplantation, applying artificial intelligence, 3D printing technology and digital transformation of health.

At this exhibition, Bach Mai Hospital introduced a solution for analyzing CT data to detect early lung and cardiovascular cancer with an accuracy of up to 98%, returning results within 1-2 minutes; introduced 3D printing technology in medicine, helping to create accurate anatomical models from medical image data, supporting doctors in planning surgery, reducing risks, shortening time and manufacturing personalized implant products (bones, joints, fixation plates, surgical instruments)...

Mr. Vu Manh Cuong, Director of the Central Center for Health Education and Communication, Ministry of Health, said that in the current period, the health sector is trying its best to implement the digital transformation policy, focusing on applying many modern technologies. The products displayed at this exhibition want to convey the message of the open heart of doctors, hoping to welcome many visitors to come here to feel the remarkable progress of the health sector in recent times.

Not stopping at the achievements, the exhibition booth also introduces the vision for 2035 and 2045 with the goal of building a smart healthcare system, covering all people, integrating internationally and on par with advanced countries. Security and defense are increasingly strong

In the 80-year history of the revolution, the People's Public Security force has always affirmed its pioneering role on the front of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety. The exhibition space of the Ministry of Public Security has recreated a resilient journey with the unchanging message: "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", while affirming the pioneering role of the People's Public Security force in Party building, force building, and innovation of the organizational model.

At the exhibition, people were particularly impressed with the industry's modern equipment such as radar detectors, sensors that use radio waves to search for victims through their movements or breathing; radars that use the latest ultrasonic technology and artificial intelligence to identify bodies underwater; fire extinguishers and gas masks that provide comprehensive protection in environments with toxic smoke, toxic gases, and lack of oxygen; mobile devices that cut steel structures... These are indispensable tools in rescuing people at collapsed buildings or trapped in vehicles, helping to reduce operating time and bring more hope to victims. Major General Pham Kim Dinh said that the weapons, equipment, vehicles, and specialized support tools serving the work and combat of the People's Public Security force displayed at the exhibition demonstrate the discipline, eliteness, and modernity of the People's Public Security, worthy of being the "sword of the Party", the core force protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety.

At the exhibition area of the Ministry of National Defense, viewers were "satisfied" with the display of new generation weapon product groups, demonstrating the great strides of our army in modernizing the army, improving the overall quality and combat strength of the entire army... These are heavy ground self-propelled artillery, anti-aircraft artillery, air defense and maritime surveillance radar systems, long-range multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and anti-UAV complexes serving modern operations, secure communication systems, S-125-VT missile complex, Truong Son missile complex... In which, heavy ground artillery, caliber 152mm, is a mobile artillery capable of providing long-range fire support for infantry and armored vehicles; The 57mm anti-aircraft gun is capable of protecting air defense positions, airports, ports, factories and important facilities from air attacks such as aircraft, helicopters, paratroopers, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)...

Mr. Vu Quang Hoa, from Yen Phong commune (Bac Ninh) shared that he was very surprised and happy to see many modern weapons and equipment of Vietnam, especially UAV devices of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel), and excitedly said: "I have great confidence in the strength of the Vietnam People's Army in protecting peace for the country and the people". Many young people also expressed special interest in the modern weapons and equipment of the army and shared their feelings of pride and confidence when the country has the military strength it has today.

According to the plan, the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements will last until September 5. With its strong influence, the exhibition is still attracting a large number of people to visit. This is an opportunity for each citizen to see and understand more clearly the great achievements of the country, to feel more clearly the national pride and their responsibility.

Proud mark of Vietnamese technology

Booths displaying modern technology applications such as flexible humanoid robots, autonomous delivery robots, AI camera systems capable of recognizing and analyzing images in the blink of an eye, etc. are the highlights of the exhibition. Devices that seem to only exist in science fiction movies now appear right in the middle of the exhibition space of the country's achievements, giving the public a direct experience of the results of innovation that Vietnam is gradually mastering.

Not only do these exhibitions showcase products, they also showcase a series of core technologies and research projects of strategic significance, including nuclear reactor models, anti-drone radars, 5G equipment, and the Vinasat-1 satellite, all of which are achievements that affirm Vietnam’s position in the high-tech sector, from defense, energy to space telecommunications.
