On the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, in the morning, noon and evening, due to the large number of cars traveling to the West, traffic jams occur for a long time.
On the afternoon of August 30, at the section passing through Ben Luc commune (Tay Ninh), a truck traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Thap had a flat tire. The incident caused traffic on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway through the above section to be jammed for several hours.

On National Highway 1A, many sections through Tay Ninh province are in a similar situation, as people travel by motorbike to the eastern West. Most of the intersections on National Highway 1A through Ben Luc commune (Tay Ninh) are congested, vehicles move slowly. The Traffic Police force - Tay Ninh Provincial Police are constantly on duty to regulate and direct traffic.
In particular, during this holiday, Rach Mieu bridge (connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces) did not experience traffic jams, because Rach Mieu 2 bridge had just opened to traffic, sharing the load.
In the early morning and evening of August 30, the number of vehicles passing through Rach Mieu Bridge was high (mainly motorbikes), but there was no traffic jam. At Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, there were many vehicles passing through, mainly cars and trucks, and there was no traffic jam.

Mr. Hoang Ba Nghi, a bus driver (Tra Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City route), said that most cars from the two provinces of Ben Tre and Tra Vinh to Ho Chi Minh City previously chose to travel via Rach Mieu 2 bridge, because it is fast and does not cost a toll.

On Highway 1, through Tan Huong Commune (Dong Thap), Tan Huong Commune police force and youth union braved the sun and rain to distribute bread, cakes, and drinks to people returning to their hometowns in the West for the holiday on this occasion.
