Dong Thap province creates the most favorable conditions for the education sector to fulfill its mission.

Attending the conference in person were Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of Departments, Branches and online bridges in communes and wards of the province. The 2024-2025 school year ended in a special context when Dong Thap province (old) and Tien Giang province (old) officially merged into Dong Thap province; at the same time, the Politburo has just issued Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of Education and Training. Dong Thap Education sector has achieved many outstanding results, contributing significantly to the overall development of the province.

The province currently has more than 1,000 educational institutions, reasonably distributed, meeting the learning needs in both urban and rural areas. The team of nearly 37,000 cadres, teachers, and employees basically meets the standards, many teachers exceed the standards, have a spirit of innovation and creativity.

Education quality continues to improve, Preschool Education maintains comprehensive results, firmly universalizing for 5-year-old children; General education achieves a program completion rate of over 99%; high school graduation rate reaches 99.4%, higher than the national average.

Students in the province have won 88 national excellent student awards, along with many science and technology and startup awards. Vocational education has exceeded enrollment targets, and the employment rate after training has reached over 90%. Digital transformation has been promoted with 100% of educational institutions connecting to industry data, many schools deploying electronic transcripts, digital learning materials, "smart classrooms", and "digital schools".

At the Conference, Mr. Le Quang Tri - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap province shared that after the merger, the Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap province entered a period of transformation with an expanded organizational scale, many changes in human resources, facilities and administrative management system.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan acknowledged and commended the efforts of the staff, teachers and employees of the Education sector in the past school year; at the same time, requested the whole sector to focus on implementing a number of key tasks in the 2025-2026 school year.

In particular, the sector continues to innovate educational management, develop the team of teachers and managers, invest in modern facilities; improve the quality of comprehensive education, link training with social needs; promote international cooperation and integration.
