Hands-on Pura 80 Ultra: Huawei smartphone more expensive than iPhone 16 Pro Max

In China, Huawei is a force to be reckoned with in the mobile industry. The newly launched Pura 80 Ultra starts at 10,000 yuan, higher than the 16 Pro Max.

No longer aiming to serve a global customer base, Huawei has turned its phone line into a domestic "luxury product" by equipping it with flashy features. Despite the trend of making square phones and bringing flat screens, the Pura 80 Ultra still uses glossy glass, absolutely curved edges, and the front screen overflows the edges. Huawei added some AI features to the device, similar to domestic competitors such as Xiaomi and Vivo. However, they are not available outside of China. The previous generation of this line is sold in some Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia and Thailand. However, there is little possibility that Huawei will bring the phone to Vietnam for business.
