At the construction site of Package No. 8, leveling the ground and building technical infrastructure for plots SX1 and SX2 in the Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc logistic area, engineers and workers of Truong Son Construction Corporation maintain the number of personnel and equipment divided into many construction teams. All are working very hard, striving to be able to hand over some locations by early December this year so that industrial production facilities that have to clear the ground to serve the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project can move here to construct and install factories.

Mr. Vu Cong Chieu - Deputy Site Manager said that the project's advantage is that the investor and local authorities have handed over the site early. With the urgent schedule and huge workload, right after the groundbreaking ceremony on August 19, we organized the construction in the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "working through holidays and Tet" to ensure the plan.

The project of leveling the ground and constructing technical infrastructure for plots SX1 and SX2 in the Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc logistics area to serve the site clearance for the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line was approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1470/QD-UBND dated May 6, 2025, with a total investment of 106.4 billion VND from the central budget.

The project covers an area of ​​19 hectares, including leveling the ground, building an internal traffic system, installing power supply, water supply and drainage systems and other essential infrastructure.

The main objective of the project is to create a favorable site for arranging and relocating production facilities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, serving the site clearance work for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line.

This project is expected to contribute to removing infrastructure bottlenecks, promoting regional connectivity, and increasing the competitiveness of the Lao Cai international border gate area.

Along with this project, the project of leveling the ground and technical infrastructure of Ban Qua area to serve the land clearance of the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway is also being urgently implemented. After completion, it will create a land fund to arrange for 34 enterprises related to import - export activities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park.

At the project to upgrade and expand the IC19 intersection on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with National Highway 4D and Provincial Road 155, workers and engineers are focusing on constructing the most important item of the project, the Dum stream overpass.

The bridge is designed with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, including 3 spans, with a bridge deck width of 16 m.

In recent days, heavy rain has continuously occurred in the area due to the influence of storm circulation, making the construction of the foundation and bridge pier difficult.

The construction site is located in the middle of a stream. Although the construction unit has built a dike to straighten the stream for construction, heavy rains have occurred continuously recently, causing water to overflow into the foundation of the pier, interrupting the construction process. Workers have to race to process steel, install formwork, and continuously pump water out of the foundation pit.

In addition, the project's starting time was delayed due to site clearance issues, so the contractor had to work overtime to make up for the delay.

Mr. Luu Van Thang - project supervisor said: To ensure quality and progress according to the design, the supervision consultant team arranges adequate personnel, closely monitors each item, controls quality, and conducts acceptance according to plan; regularly inspects the site to promptly remind and request correction of existing problems.

The project to upgrade and expand the IC19 intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway with National Highway 4D and Provincial Road 155, once completed, will ensure safety and convenient traffic connection from Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway to Lao Cai Ward with Sa Pa tourist area and improve the investment efficiency of Provincial Road 155 from Lao Cai Ward to Sa Pa tourist area.

According to the approved design, based on the existing IC19 interchange at km255 of Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, 3 branches currently in operation will be renovated and 1 additional branch will be built.

At the road bridge project across the Red River border of Bat Xat (Vietnam) - Ba Sai (China), to ensure the target of completion and handover by June 2026, construction units are racing against time to complete the first items. After more than 2 months of construction, the contractor has completed the construction of pier M2, and is constructing pier T9 and pier T8 frame.

The road bridge project across the Red River at the border of Bat Xat (Vietnam) - Ba Sai (China) is 230 m long. Each side will invest in building half of the main bridge, the tower pillar is 20 m high from the bridge surface; the bridge width is 35.3 m (including the width of the tower pillar); the total cost of building the bridge on the Vietnamese side is about 282 billion VND.

The bridge is of great significance, not only because it is located on a vital traffic route, helping to shorten the travel distance between the two localities, but also creating a great driving force for the development of trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
