According to the reporter's records on many main roads in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District (Da Nang City), the situation of livestock roaming freely on the roads is causing many dangers for traffic participants.

Inside the cross-roads leading into urban areas, herds of cows leisurely graze, lie in the middle of the road blocking traffic, or cross the road, endangering traffic.

The problem of cows roaming freely has been going on for many years now, with herds of up to several dozen cows roaming freely on the streets.

Many tragic accidents have occurred when pedestrians could not avoid these herds of cows.

Ms. Hoa, who works in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, said: "Every day when I go to work on this road, I see many herds of buffalo and cows grazing around the roads of the industrial park, most often in the morning or afternoon. Sometimes the whole herd of cows cross the road, which is very dangerous for traffic participants."

According to local residents, the situation of cows roaming freely has been going on for many years. The cows roaming around and defecating indiscriminately in residential areas causes urban unsightliness and environmental pollution. Many cows also butt each other, chase each other, and run in the middle of the road, causing many car and motorbike drivers to panic when they have to brake suddenly and swerve to avoid collisions.

A representative of the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City, said that the district has issued documents and directed functional units, especially the urban management and regulation team, along with residential groups, to regularly propagate and mobilize people not to let their livestock roam freely.

"In the coming time, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District will completely handle this situation, and at the same time request the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks of Da Nang to report to the locality so that the district can have a timely handling plan, ensuring environmental sanitation and traffic safety," said Mr. Le Van Loc, Head of the Finance - Planning Department, People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.

Not only on the roads in industrial parks, many other areas in Da Nang city such as Hoa Lien commune (Hoa Vang district) also often encounter the above situation, making traffic participants worried.
