Donated nearly 1,000 life jackets to students in flood-affected areas

QTO - On the morning of August 17, on behalf of Mr. Vo Thanh Nhan - an overseas Vietnamese from Iowa (USA), Principal of A Xing Primary and Secondary School (Lia commune) Nguyen Mai Trong presented nearly 1,000 life jackets to students in areas frequently affected by floods in Quang Tri province.

The schools that received life jackets include: Ly Tu Trong Primary and Secondary School, Hai Le Primary and Secondary School ( Quang Tri Ward); Trieu Thuong Primary School and Nguyen Hoang Primary School (Trieu Phong Commune). The gifts not only have practical material value, helping students have more means to ensure safety when going to school during the flood season, but also show the affection and sharing of overseas Vietnamese for children in the flood-affected areas in their homeland.

Representatives of the schools expressed their deep gratitude to the sponsors for their noble gesture and timely support for students in disadvantaged areas.

It is known that this is an activity in the chain of supporting equipment, learning materials and safety for students in the Central region initiated by the overseas Vietnamese community in the United States, aiming to contribute to minimizing risks and ensuring safety for students as the storm season is approaching.
