On December 12, the People's Committee of Quang Yen commune, Thanh Ba district organized a program to hand over breeding animals under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Leaders of Quang Yen Commune People's Committee gave cows to Mr. Nguyen Van Kien's household in Dam Giang area.
At the program, the leaders of Quang Yen Commune People's Committee presented 11 breeding cows to 11 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty in the commune. Each cow weighs from 125-130kg. Before receiving the breeding cows, the households were trained by experts on breeding techniques, how to build barns, and how to treat some common diseases in cows.
Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Yen commune had given 30 breeding cows to 30 households, including poor, near-poor and newly escaped-poverty households. The total cost of the project in Quang Yen commune is over 640 million VND. Of which, the central budget supports 60%, the remaining amount is contributed by the people in the form of labor days, care; barns, materials for livestock farming and training on technology transfer for cattle farming.
This is a program under Project 2: Diversifying Livelihoods, Developing Poverty Reduction Models under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025 in Quang Yen commune. With the motto "Giving fishing rods, not fish", the donation of breeding cows aims to help, support, and support production means, creating livelihoods for poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households to have conditions to develop the economy , stabilize their lives, and escape poverty sustainably.
