Electric fans are thought to be a "savior" in hot weather, but new research shows that they can make the body hotter and be harmful to the elderly.

In hot, dry conditions, fans can increase body temperature instead of cooling it. Research conducted by scientists from the University of Sydney, Monash University, the University of Adelaide in Australia, and the Montreal Heart Institute shows that fans cause older people to absorb more heat.
At 45°C and 15% humidity, the fan makes the body 0.3°C hotter than without it. The "giant dryer" effect prevents sweat from evaporating, causing heat to accumulate in the body.
Wetting the skin while using a fan does not effectively reduce heat in hot, dry environments. The risk of stroke and heart disease increases if fans are used incorrectly in extreme conditions. Experts recommend finding shelter or a safer cooling solution.
Don't let the fan "betray you", use it properly to protect your health in the summer. Dear readers, please watch the video : TCL introduces self-cleaning air conditioner, full of technology for less than 10 million.
