On the evening of June 26, the National Ballet of Cuba opened the program "The Cuba Ballet - Enchanted in Every Movement" at the Ho Guom Theater with an excerpt from "Swan Lake" - a classic masterpiece of ballet art.
The artists delivered a refined, technical and emotional performance. Each movement was performed with precision, yet with depth of expression. It was not only body language, but also a way of conveying inner feelings, creating a captivating artistic experience for the audience.
The performance style bears the mark of Cuban ballet - where European academic techniques blend with the free and passionate spirit of the Caribbean. The following excerpts take the audience from classical beauty to colorful images of Cuban culture, all told through rhythm, body and emotion.
Founded in 1948, the National Ballet of Cuba is Cuba's leading artistic icon, renowned for developing a unique ballet school. In 2018, the company was recognized as a National Cultural Heritage.
The troupe’s return to Vietnam is not only an opportunity for the public to enjoy the art of high-end dance, but also contributes to strengthening the cultural friendship between the two countries. Previously, in 2024, the troupe performed at the Ho Guom Theater to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
The next performance will take place on June 29, promising to continue to bring enchanting movements, where technique and emotion blend in every dance step./.
