On the morning of July 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that after receiving information from people showing signs of "faking illnesses" at the Viet Khang Thu Duc General Clinic (83C Dang Van Bi, Thu Duc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Inspection and Legal Department (Department of Health) conducted an inspection and discovered that the clinic had signs of "faking illnesses and extorting money".

According to the Department of Health , through synthesizing petitions from people and inspection results, the Department of Health found that the General Clinic of Viet Khang Thu Duc General Clinic Company Limited has recently been identified as a hot spot in medical examination and treatment activities, often receiving complaints from people about the situation of "faking illnesses and extorting money".

Specifically, the same form: “Initially, the clinic offered examinations at a low price, but then, the clinic staff continuously announced that additional illnesses had arisen, requiring more services, causing the cost to skyrocket. In some cases, it was up to tens of millions of dong.”

Currently, the Department of Health is coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Police to verify and handle violations of related organizations and individuals.

Do not rush to pay unusual and unclear fees and when suspecting "fake illness, extortion", immediately call the hotline of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health: 0967.771.010 and 0989.401.155 or report via the "Online Health" application so that the Department of Health has information, promptly detects and handles according to regulations.
