General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the comprehensive training inspection. Attending the inspection were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security .

The comprehensive training test consisted of two parts: Performing the Party and State's rituals and ceremonies and conducting the parade. Under the direction of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, the Quyet Thang Military Flag, Army, Navy, Air Defense-Air Force, Border Guard, Coast Guard, Armored Vehicles, Communications, Engineering, Chemical... and the Police force's units performed the majestic and solemn parade. Under the scorching July sun, nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers in 18 standing blocks and 43 walking blocks (including 7 female Army blocks, 2 female Police blocks, including: Military band, military medical officers, Vietnam peacekeepers , commandos, information soldiers, militiamen of Vietnamese ethnic groups, southern guerrillas, traffic police officers, special police) were drenched in sweat, but their spirits were high, their demeanor solemn, they performed the parade and marching movements strongly, precisely, united with the determination to best complete the task.

The highlight of this parade is the modern weapons and equipment system of the military, service branches, and forces participating in the parade on land, in the air, and at sea... In particular, there are many types of weapons, equipment, and vehicles that are products of the Vietnamese defense industry, such as: Truong Son missile complex, XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle, unmanned aircraft, radars... In addition, there are many types of special vehicles and equipment of the People's Public Security force. At the joint training session of the armed forces in the parade and march on land, all vehicles, weapons, and equipment marched in harmony, demonstrating high mobility and combat readiness.

Major General Vu Hong Son, Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force, said: “To participate in the A80 mission, the Air Defense - Air Force mobilized many types of aircraft. In this joint training session, aircraft did not participate, but the forces of the Service performed the walking and standing blocks and the missile, radar, and anti-aircraft artillery systems were paraded according to the plan, demonstrating relatively good training results and preparation work.”

Major General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of Military Region 1, affirmed: “Through this joint training inspection, the Military Region Command directed units to seriously learn from experience to improve training quality; continueto educate officers and soldiers to promote a sense of responsibility, sense of organization and discipline, and high determination in performing A80 tasks.”

Worthy of the country's major event

To best complete the A80 mission, over the past time, the agencies and units of the Army and the Police have thoroughly grasped, seriously implemented, and closely organized the centralized training of the parade and marching groups. The units have selected additional comrades who are exemplary in political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, and sense of organization and discipline; meeting the standards of height, appearance, and health to participate in the parade and marching groups.

Speaking at the end of the training session, General Nguyen Tan Cuong, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, praised the sense of responsibility and training results of the officers and soldiers of the units performing the A80 mission in the past time. In particular, General Nguyen Tan Cuong highly appreciated the training results and the determination and efforts to overcome all difficulties and hardships of the female comrades participating in the female groups of the Army, militia and police. After more than a month of concentrated training, despite the harsh weather conditions, the groups actively practiced at high intensity to aim for the goal of "correct, even, strong, beautiful, unified", demonstrating the discipline and strength of the people's armed forces.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested: From now until the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2) there is not much time left. Therefore, the agencies of the General Staff continue to direct the drawing of experience, thoroughly overcoming the shortcomings; organize truly basic and solid training, ensuring the best results according to the requirements for each block, each force and coordinate, unify and synchronize all forces participating in the parade and march. In particular, organize tight training sessions, preliminary rehearsals, and general rehearsals to ensure quality; at the same time, well implement the combat readiness plan, organize specific and tight coordination, ensure absolute safety for parades, marches and celebrations...

The General Department of Politics is requested to continue to direct the promotion of Party and political activities in parades and marches; focus on doing a good job of propaganda work on mass media; strengthen education to improve the sense of responsibility, determination and ensure a good cultural and spiritual life for the forces performing the tasks. The General Department of Logistics and Engineering continues to direct the assurance of good military supplies and uniforms, especially ensuring technical work for the military vehicles participating in parades and marches...

General Nguyen Tan Cuong hopes and believes that each force, each bloc, each cadre and soldier will promote the spirit of the immortal August Revolution and National Day September 2, raise awareness, take advantage of time, actively practice with the spirit of "solidarity, coordination, collective achievements" so that the parade and march are worthy of the great celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and strength of the armed forces and the entire Vietnamese nation.
