Up to now, the whole province has cultivated 22,132.6 hectares of winter-spring rice, reaching 86.14% of the plan, equal to 115.15% compared to the same period in 2024. For communes that grow one crop, rice cultivation has basically been completed, for communes that grow two crops, people have both harvested spring rice and cultivated winter-spring rice. The structure of rice varieties used by people is short-term rice varieties with high yield, high quality, and good resistance to pests and diseases. For localities with suitable conditions, it is encouraged to expand the cultivation area of high-quality rice varieties such as: Japonica DS1, J01, J02...

To ensure the production of winter-spring rice, and to complete the set productivity and output targets, the Department of Agriculture and Environment develops plans and production plans to ensure the seasonal framework for each crop, increase the application of technical advances and mechanization in agricultural production; expand the area of high-quality rice suitable for market demand and high commodity value, and select suitable hybrid rice varieties for production.
