After the gift-giving ceremony to support Ms. Thanh's family, we followed the officers of Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station ( Dong Nai Province Border Guard Command) to visit and give gifts to the adopted border guard children: Ngo Gia Kiet, born in 2012 in Hamlet 5, Hung Phuoc Commune and Lang Khac Dat (Nung ethnic group) in Hamlet 3, Hung Phuoc Commune.
On the way, Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Sy Mot, Head of Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station, informed: "Kiet's father passed away in a traffic accident, his mother went to work far away, so he lived with his grandparents. In 2020, when Kiet was in 2nd grade, our unit proposed to the local government leaders and his family to adopt him. Every month, the unit supports his study expenses, and recently bought him a new electric bike to go to school. Not long ago, we mobilized benefactors to receive 10 million VND to support the family to repair their house because it was dilapidated."

Lang Khac Dat's father also unfortunately died in a work accident. His mother remarried... Dat was raised by his grandfather Lang Sau. A few years ago, Sau's eyes were blurred and he had severe gout, so the family faced many difficulties. When Dat had to drop out of school to work, the unit adopted Dat and supported his education until the end of grade 12.
In addition, the unit also worked with the local government to build a solidarity house worth more than 120 million VND and gave the family a breeding cow to develop the economy . After graduating from high school, Dat applied for a job and became an employee at a Bach Hoa Xanh store in the commune.
When arriving at Kiet's family, the border guards kindly asked about his studies and health and encouraged Kiet to study hard and be good so that he could grow up to be a useful person and a pillar for his family. As for Dat, after being advised by the border guards, he promised to work hard, save his salary as capital to build a coop to raise more chickens, pigs, goats... to develop the family economy.
The warm affection of officers and soldiers of Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station is a solid support, contributing to brightening the future, helping people rise up from adversity in the difficult border of Dong Nai province.
