Schools with a large decrease in admission scores in the medical field include Vinh University of Medicine from 24.85 in 2024 to 22 in 2025, a decrease of 2.85 points; University of Medicine and Pharmacy (University of Danang) from 25.55 to 23, a decrease of 2.55 points; Hai Duong University of Medical Technology from 25.4 to 23.8, a decrease of 1.6 points; Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy from 26.17 to 24.6, a decrease of 1.57 points; University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hue University) from 26.3 to 25.27, a decrease of 1.03 points...
The public university with the deepest decrease in medical majors is Tay Nguyen University. In 2024, the benchmark score was 25.01, but this year it was 21.76, a decrease of 3.25 points.
However, the remaining two health majors of Tay Nguyen University increased sharply. Nursing major in 2024 was only 20.85 points, this year it skyrocketed to 24.13, 7.13 points higher than the Ministry of Education and Training's input quality assurance threshold; Medical testing technology major increased from 21.55 to 24.01, 7.01 points higher than the Ministry's threshold.
In the medical field, only one school increased its admission score, which is the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi National University) from 27.15 in 2024 to 27.43 in 2025.
Nursing and traditional medicine majors of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy also increased, from 20.55 and 22.5 in 2024 to 22.22 and 24.03 this year.
In the non-public university sector, this year the highest benchmark score belongs to Phenikaa University in the fields of medicine (22.5), dentistry (22.5), medical laboratory technology (19), pharmacy (21), medical imaging technology (19) and traditional medicine (21). All of these fields are 2 points higher than the threshold for ensuring input quality of the Ministry of Education and Training and each field is 2 points higher than other schools.
The medical faculty of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy ranked second with 22 points, Phan Chau Trinh University ranked third with 21.5 points.
In the nursing industry, Buon Ma Thuot University ranked first among non-public schools with 20.5 points, 3.5 points higher than the threshold for ensuring input quality.
The remaining schools all have benchmark scores equal to the scores prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training for health majors.
