Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee held a conference of key officials and met with former leaders

BBK - On the morning of June 26, at the Provincial Hall, Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee held a conference of key officials and met with previous leaders; commended collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.

Comrade Hoang Duy Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the Conference. Also attending were former leaders, members of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee and representatives of departments, branches and localities.

The conference listened to the provincial leaders review the development process of Bac Kan over the past 28 years. Accordingly, on January 1, 1997, Bac Kan province was re-established with a very difficult starting point, lacking infrastructure, the poverty rate accounted for more than 50%. However, thanks to the participation of the political system and the consensus of the people, the province has now risen to achieve many comprehensive achievements. The electricity system, roads, schools, and stations have been expanded and consolidated; people have received full health care, digital transformation has achieved many results in many fields; the economy has shifted in the right direction, GDP has increased nearly 52 times, per capita income has increased nearly 45 times, budget revenue has increased 57 times; security and defense have been consolidated; social security has been maintained; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations have been constantly improved.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary was moved to express his remembrance and gratitude to the previous generations of leaders, revolutionary veterans, those who laid the first bricks, overcame countless difficulties to build a solid foundation for Bac Kan ; the efforts of cadres, workers and people of all ethnic groups in the province who silently contributed day and night for the development of their homeland.

The results of the streamlining of the political system's organizational structure according to the Central's policy are a testament to the innovative thinking, drastic actions and "serving the people" spirit of the entire Party Committee and the Bac Kan provincial government. In parallel with the process of merging and restructuring the organizational structure, the preparation work for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term is being carried out by the Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee with a proactive, serious, thoughtful spirit and close adherence to the Central's direction.

Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Duy Chinh confidently affirmed: The merger of Bac Kan province with Thai Nguyen province is a turning point - a strategic historical movement to build a streamlined government, operating effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements of the new development stage.

The name of Bac Kan province will no longer be on the administrative map after July 1, 2025, but Bac Kan will always live forever in the hearts of thousands of people from the homeland. The Provincial Party Secretary deeply believes that – wherever they are, in whatever conditions – the people of Bac Kan will always be creative, dedicated and courageous, contributing to making this land famous in the journey of building a new Thai Nguyen province – modern, developed and prosperous.

Previously, at the Conference, the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province was awarded to 05 collectives and 60 individuals with achievements in implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient"./.
