(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Before the forecast of heavy rain due to the impact of storm No. 5, Na Meo commune mobilized all forces to urgently evacuate people in vulnerable areas to safety.

Na Meo is one of the localities facing a high risk of landslides during heavy rain and storms. As soon as information about storm No. 5 was updated, the locality made a plan to evacuate 71 households with 293 people to a safe place.

Of which, Na Meo village has 4 households, 12 people evacuated to the village cultural house; Bo Hieng village has 12 households, 55 people evacuated to the cultural house and other households in the village; Cha Khot village has 55 households, 226 people evacuated to the village cultural house, kindergarten and primary school.

At the evacuation points, the commune police have arranged officers to ensure security and order, patrol to protect people's property; forces have also been arranged to ensure logistics and medical work to support people when necessary.
