An unusual crack 800m long appeared on a provincial road in Quang Ngai.

The provincial roadbed in Quang Ngai has unusual cracks and subsidence extending 800m, posing a risk of structural failure and traffic safety loss.

On November 5, the Quang Ngai Department of Transport confirmed that provincial road 621 through Binh Son district had a crack about 800m long and the roadbed had sunk.

In order to limit the occurrence of damage to the roadbed and surface and ensure traffic safety, the Department of Transport has organized on-site inspections and assessed the extent of damage. At the same time, it has directed relevant agencies to repair the damage.

According to initial information, the location of the crack and subsidence was discovered at Km17+100-Km17+900 through Binh Tan Phu commune, Binh Son district. The crack extended about 1 meter from the roadside, about 2cm wide, and larger in some places.

Many locations on the roadbed have sunk, creating unusual buffalo waves while this traffic route has few heavy-duty vehicles.

In the immediate future, to ensure traffic safety, the Quang Ngai Department of Transport has directed the Quang Ngai Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company to immediately hang warning ropes and place signs instructing vehicles on the route to avoid cracked and sunken areas to ensure safety.
