News, pepper price forecast tomorrow June 28, 2025

Domestic market on June 28, 2025

With the current movements, experts believe that domestic pepper prices tomorrow, June 28, are likely to continue to increase, but the increase will not be as strong as today. Specifically, the price level is expected to remain in the range of 126,000 - 128,000 VND/kg, with the possibility of some localities approaching the 129,000 VND/kg mark if purchasing power continues to be maintained.

However, it should be noted that the market is approaching a high price range in the short term. The fact that export enterprises have not adjusted their output prices may be a factor that causes the growth momentum to slow down. At the same time, if domestic pepper prices increase too quickly compared to the world, the risk of losing competitiveness in the export market is entirely possible.

International market on June 28, 2025

According to the forecast for world pepper prices tomorrow, the market will remain stable and increase slightly; however, there will still be fluctuations in prices between countries.

Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) on the afternoon of June 27, 2025 as follows: the market in Indonesia continued to increase, increasing from 27 - 37 USD/ton (for black pepper and white pepper); markets in other countries were stable and flat compared to the previous trading session.

Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,528 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,169 USD/ton.

The Malaysian pepper market remained stable compared to the previous decline. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,000 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,750 USD/ton.

Pepper prices in Brazil tend to be stable and sideways, currently the purchase price reaches 5,850 USD/ton.

Vietnam's pepper export market has stabilized and remained unchanged compared to the previous trading session. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 5,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 5,900 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 8,800 USD/ton.

What should pepper growers do when prices are high?

In the context of sharp increases in pepper prices, many farmers are facing the choice between selling to make a profit or continuing to hold on to their stocks waiting for better prices. However, experts recommend careful consideration to avoid a rush to sell which could cause the market to suddenly reverse.

Selling in moderation, dividing the amount of goods released to the market while closely following international fluctuations is considered a safe solution. Especially in the context of global supply fluctuations due to erratic weather and epidemics affecting productivity, holding back a portion of goods to sell when prices peak is a reasonable strategy.

In the medium term, the outlook for pepper remains positive. Production in Indonesia and Brazil is facing difficulties due to unfavorable weather conditions, while strong recovery in demand from Asian markets – especially China and India – is providing support for prices.

At current prices, Vietnam remains an attractive destination for importers thanks to its stable quality and international standard supply. If this trend continues, pepper prices could reach VND130,000/kg next month.
