News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/13/2025
After a series of consecutive price increases in the second half of June and early July, many farmers in the Central Highlands took advantage of the opportunity to take profits at VND142,000/kg. When the price dropped to VND139,000 - 140,000/kg, some households continued to sell to clear inventory before the heavy rainy season.
Domestic market on July 13, 2025
Based on current market signals, domestic pepper prices tomorrow are expected to remain at the current level, with a low probability of a further decline.
Main scenario – sideways price:
After a session of widespread decline, the market tends to slow down to observe. Farmers limit selling at lower than expected prices, especially in the context of prices at the highest level in more than a year.
Alternative scenario – prices drop slightly at a few points:
Some provinces such as Gia Lai and Dong Nai have large inventories, so there may be small-scale sales, causing prices to drop by another VND100-200/kg. However, this is not enough to create a strong downward trend across the market.
International market on July 13, 2025
International pepper prices are expected to remain stable without major fluctuations, supporting domestic prices.
Export companies still maintain the view of buying enough to deliver goods, not interested in buying large quantities of goods for speculation. According to a representative of a business in Binh Duong, the European and Middle Eastern markets still consume well, but the FOB price has not been adjusted to the domestic price, making it difficult for them to increase the purchase price.
Logistics and ocean freight costs remain high, especially for the Middle East–North Africa route, forcing companies to think carefully before finalizing new orders.
Export companies still maintain the view of buying enough to deliver goods, not interested in buying large quantities of goods for speculation. High logistics and sea transport costs are also factors that prevent businesses from increasing purchase prices.
