In Hanoi, in the 2025-2026 school year, about 64% of junior high school graduates are eligible to study at public high schools. The rest are assigned to non-public schools, continuingeducation centers, or junior colleges and colleges to both learn vocational skills and study culture (abbreviated as the 9+ program).

Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that after the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the number of students and parents coming to vocational schools and continuing education centers for consultation on enrolling in the 9+ program has increased significantly. According to statistics from vocational education institutions, the rate of students studying the 9+ program who have graduated and found jobs immediately in recent years has reached over 70%.

The Department of Education and Training continues to coordinate with secondary schools, communes and wards to organize early career counseling to provide extensive information about the 9+ program to students and parents of final-year secondary school students.

Gross domestic product (GDP) in the first 6 months of 2025 increased by 7.52% over the same period last year, the highest level of the first 6 months in the period 2011-2025.

GDP in the second quarter of 2025 grew positively, with an estimated growth rate of 7.96% over the same period last year, only lower than the growth rate of 8.56% in the second quarter of 2022 in the 2020-2025 period.
