The census will collect comprehensive information on agriculture, forestry, fishery and rural development, serving three main objectives: providing data to compile a national statistical indicator system, supporting planning and strategies for rural and agricultural, forestry and fishery development; helping to assess the scale of labor, infrastructure and effectiveness of implementing national target programs; building a database for in-depth research and periodic surveys in the future. The subjects of the survey include: Households, workers, farms, enterprises, cooperatives and People's Committees of communes participating in agriculture, forestry and fishery activities.
Information will be collected on July 1 and completed within 30 days. Periodic statistical indicators will be collected based on the number of cases occurring in the 12 months prior to the survey, or in 2024, depending on the type of survey form. The census is expected to create a premise for effective and sustainable agricultural and rural development policies in the coming period.
