| Representatives of cooperatives and people's credit funds attended the Workshop on Training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Skills for Cooperatives and People's Credit Funds in Dong Nai in June 2025. |
In Dong Nai, recently, Dong Nai Cooperative Union has regularly organized training programs, knowledge enhancement, and support for cooperatives and people's credit funds in the area to access new technology applications and artificial intelligence (AI).
Interested in applying artificial intelligence in production
In the context of the fourth industrial revolution taking place strongly, AI has become one of the fundamental technologies capable of profoundly changing the way production is organized, managed and provided services in all fields. In particular, AI is increasingly developing and perfecting to support productivity improvement, management efficiency and smart decisions in the fields of finance, agriculture and business administration. This is completely suitable for application in the economic sector and cooperatives.
Director of Tri Duc Thang Cooperative (Phuoc Tan Ward) Pham Van Tho said that the Cooperative specializes in manufacturing shoe sole molds using CNC machines. Therefore, the Cooperative focuses on applying technology to production to meet the increasing demands of customers. The Cooperative wants to access new 3D printing technologies and apply AI to production to improve productivity and product quality.
Cooperatives and people's credit funds play an important role in creating jobs for workers and promoting local economic development. However, in reality, this sector is also facing many challenges, from accessing information, data management, to improving service quality and expanding the market. On the other hand, many cooperatives and people's credit funds are still having difficulty effectively exploiting new technologies, including AI, due to limited resources, lack of information, skills and specific implementation tools.
Therefore, many cooperatives and people's credit funds in the province want to have more training programs to improve knowledge about technology application in general and AI application in particular in production and business activities.
Dr. Tran Quy, Director of the Vietnam Institute for Digital Economic Development - VIDE (Vietnam Digital Communications Association), said that using AI to serve and support the work and activities of cooperatives is necessary in the context of current scientific and technological development. However, to use AI effectively, cooperatives must understand AI, understand which tools and models to choose to serve the production and business strategy of the unit. When technology develops strongly, to enhance competitive value, businesses and cooperatives need to focus on innovation, science and technology to bring their products and services in line with the general development of the market.
According to many experts, AI is no longer a story of the future, but a practical tool for businesses and cooperatives to take advantage of to accelerate development. When AI is applied and exploited properly, in accordance with the resources, goals and characteristics of each unit, AI will become a strategic tool to enhance competitiveness, optimize operations and bring practical benefits to businesses and cooperatives.
Strengthen training programs and knowledge enhancement
Digital technology and AI applications will help cooperatives and people's credit funds have useful tools to manage production, human resources, customer analysis, risk management, etc.
At the end of June 2025, Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance organized a workshop on AI application skills training for cooperatives and people's credit funds in the province. The workshop aimed to help units supplement knowledge, skills, and exploit AI tools to improve competitiveness, optimize operations, and bring practical benefits to members. From there, there will be specific steps in the process of applying technology, especially AI, to production, business, finance, and administration.
Representative of Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance Do Phuoc Dung emphasized that artificial intelligence along with digital transformation solutions will be an important key to help cooperatives and people's credit funds not only survive, but also develop strongly and sustainably in the future.
Implementing AI is not simply a matter of technology. It requires a change in mindset, a willingness to learn and adapt. The mission of the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance is to work with relevant departments, branches and units to support cooperatives and people's credit funds to understand the value of AI, thereby overcoming initial barriers to gradually bring technology into the practical operations of cooperatives and people's credit funds.
“Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance will continue to synthesize, assess needs, build more suitable support programs on digital transformation, AI application, specialized training, connect with technology units and functional agencies to accompany cooperatives and people's credit funds in the province” - Mr. Do Phuoc Dung emphasized.
