Lionel Messi has almost no chance of playing in another world- class club tournament, after Inter Miami suffered a heavy 0-4 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
At 38, Messi no longer thinks about returning to Europe to play, which means that the possibility of him participating in the Champions League or any tournament in the top 5 of the old continent is unlikely. Messi's contract with Inter Miami will expire at the end of 2025, and his future is still a big question mark.
