Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong received the Executive Board of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties

On August 30, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong held talks with the delegation of the Executive Board of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

The delegation of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Executive Committee led by Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Chairman of the Standing Committee (SC) of ICAPP and Mr. Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Co-Chairman of the SC, paid a working visit to Vietnam and attended the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

ICAPP leaders expressed their honor to participate in the important event - the 80th Anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2, and deeply admired the achievements that Vietnam has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the process of building, defending and developing the country.

ICAPP Chairman Chung Eui-yong expressed his admiration for Vietnam's development achievements in recent times; considering these successes influential, inspiring and motivating for the region and the world.

Moved when recalling memories with Vietnam, ICAPP Executive Committee Co-Chairman Mushahid Hussain Sayed shared the time he and the people took to the streets to support Vietnam and protest the war in the past; deeply admired President Ho Chi Minh and previous Vietnamese leaders such as the late General Vo Nguyen Giap and the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.

ICAPP leaders highly appreciated Vietnam's strong and comprehensive development in all fields, from economy to culture and society. Vietnam is showing itself to be an active and responsible member of the international and regional community.

Regarding Vietnam's policies and guidelines in the coming time, ICAPP leaders were very impressed with the "Quad Pillars" and the great goals that Vietnam is setting; expressed deep support and hoped that Vietnam will grow even stronger in the country's new development era.

The two Co-Chairs highly appreciated the contributions of the Communist Party of Vietnam as a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee over the past 20 years, affirming that the good cooperative relationship between the two sides and the active and effective participation of the Communist Party of Vietnam have significantly contributed to consolidating the environment of peace, security and development in Asia; wishing to continue to cooperate closely with the Communist Party of Vietnam in the process of realizing the development vision of ICAPP, including expanding cooperative relations with multilateral political party organizations in other regions of the world.

Welcoming the ICAPP Leadership Delegation to visit Vietnam on this important occasion of the country, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong thanked international friends for their valuable assistance during the revolutionary stages of the country; assessing the visit as a vivid demonstration of the cooperative and friendly relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and ICAPP.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong highly appreciated the successes that ICAPP has achieved as the world's largest multilateral political party forum, making substantial contributions to enhancing understanding among political parties in the region, affirming ICAPP's effective bridging role, facilitating cooperation between governments and parliaments of countries in the region.

At the talks, the two sides also discussed world and regional issues of mutual concern, saying that ICAPP needs to continue to further promote its role in promoting dialogue, enhancing trust, and contributing to creating a peaceful, stable and prosperous environment in the region.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that Vietnam is steadfast in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of foreign relations; building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy consisting of three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy.

Regarding party foreign affairs, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that ICAPP is one of the priority multilateral political forums in the foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam; affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to strengthen close cooperation with the ICAPP Leadership Board, effectively performing the role of an active and responsible member in the position of ICAPP Standing Committee member.

Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong and ICAPP leaders agreed to continue to further promote the unique value and important role of ICAPP as a bridge to promote dialogue and consensus among political forces, creating a political foundation for cooperation and development between governments, parliaments and peoples of countries.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to continue to strengthen specific measures to enhance close cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and ICAPP in the coming time.
