Recall of massage cream products imported from Korea due to violation of regulations

Product Désembre Derma Science High Frequency Cream Professional

The Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) announced on the morning of July 1 that it has just issued a notice to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the Désembre Derma Science High Frequency Cream Professional cream, which is responsible for bringing to market by Hyunjin C&T International Co., Ltd. (Hanoi). The product is manufactured by Hyunjin C&T CO., LTD (Korea).

The move was made after an inspection team from the Drug Administration of Vietnam inspected the unit on May 19. The reason for the recall was that the cosmetics in circulation had formulas and labels that did not match the published records.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the local Department of Health to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to immediately stop trading and using the above products and return them to the suppliers; and to recall the violating products.

On the desembrevn page, Désembre Derma Science High Frequency Cream Professional is introduced as a high frequency massage cream that helps break down fat molecules, relieve tense muscle bundles to promote blood circulation, balance moisture, increase elasticity, and prevent skin aging.

The above website also introduces this product as exclusively distributed in Vietnam by Hyunjin C&T International Co., Ltd. ( Hanoi ), which was granted a Cosmetic Product Declaration Receipt Number by the Drug Administration of Vietnam in September 2023.

The product is sold on e-commerce platforms and other platforms, priced at over 1 million VND for a capacity of 1,000 g.

Along with the decision to recall the product, the Drug Administration also revoked the Cosmetic Product Declaration Receipt Number issued by the Drug Administration for this cosmetic.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health's agency announced a temporary suspension of reviewing and receiving cosmetic product declaration dossiers for HyunJin C&T International Co., Ltd. for a period of 6 months from June 30.

The application for the issuance of a receipt number for the Cosmetic Product Declaration Form submitted by this company before June 30 will no longer be valid. When the suspension period for receiving applications expires, the company wishing to declare its cosmetic products must submit an application according to regulations.
