Thanh Hoa province has 35,543 12th graders and 6,034 students studying at continuingeducation centers taking the high school graduation exam under the current General Education Program, school year 2024-2025 and 1,548 independent candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program graduation exam for university and college admission. This year, the number of candidates registering for the exam increased by 2,800 candidates, 7 more exam locations, 122 exam rooms compared to 2024.
Exam locations are arranged at high schools, multi-level general schools, vocational education and continuing education centers, ensuring that each district, town and city has at least one exam location, creating convenience for candidates. Lang Chanh mountainous district has 432 candidates taking the exam at Lang Chanh High School Exam Location and the school supports candidates and their parents from remote villages, hamlets and communes to stay in a dormitory with a capacity of about 200 places.
To implement the 2025 exam support activities, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee mobilized 6,500 young volunteers, organized into 85 youth teams, to carry out tasks at the exam site gates such as: guiding, looking after things, providing drinking water, cooling fans, supporting candidates to move, coordinating to ensure security and order outside the exam area. In addition, there are 43 youth volunteer teams, implementing activities in coordination with the Traffic Police and Public Security at intersections near the exam area, supporting, guiding, regulating traffic, ensuring safety and convenience for candidates to move to the exam site.
Initially, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in Thanh Hoa province mobilized more than 5,000 barrels of purified water to distribute to candidates and parents in need; introduced 500 restaurants that ensure hygiene and food safety standards, and provided preferential services to candidates and their families.
From Quang Dinh commune, taking her child to the exam site of Quang Xuong 1 High School to take the graduation exam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan said: During rush hour at the intersection of National Highway 1 with Thanh Nien Street and the gate of Quang Xuong 1 High School, there are a lot of people and vehicles participating in traffic. However, early in the morning of June 26, security and order forces, the Police were present at the intersection, in front of the gate of Quang Xuong 1 High School to guide and regulate traffic, ensuring that candidates arrived at the exam site safely, earlier than the prescribed time.
This year, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province continues to coordinate with the provincial police to deploy plans to ensure security and order at examination locations; coordinate with professional units to deploy plans to prevent and combat cheating in examinations. Thanh Hoa province also assigns the police to ensure security and safety of exam papers and test papers; the Department of Construction directs transportation units to meet the travel needs of candidates; the Department of Health ensures health care for candidates and teachers; relevant departments and branches coordinate and provide support in terms of electricity, water, communications, etc.
The Steering Committees at all levels closely, promptly and specifically coordinated with departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; especially the efforts of the staff, teachers and students in reviewing and fostering knowledge, ensuring conditions, so on the morning of June 26, many candidates in Thanh Hoa province confidently entered the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, 40,876 candidates took the Literature exam in the morning of the same day, accounting for 99.16% of the number of candidates registered for the exam; 346 candidates were absent. In the first exam session, no candidates violated exam regulations; security and order were ensured at the exam locations.
