At around 2:00 p.m. on June 27, at Noi Bai International Airport, an incident occurred where two aircraft collided at the intersection of taxiways S3 and S. The incident occurred when the A321 aircraft was waiting on the taxiway to prepare for takeoff. Meanwhile, the Boeing 787 aircraft had just landed and was taxiing onto the apron. When taxiing past the A321's parking position, the right wingtip of the Boeing 787 brushed the tail wing of the A321 (the two aircraft were now nearly perpendicular to each other).
Immediately after the incident, Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with relevant units to make a record of the incident; move the aircraft and clear taxiways S and S3. The Air Traffic Control Station proactively coordinated with relevant units to regulate the flow of aircraft, promptly clear the scene, and ensure normal flight operations. Currently, the cause of the incident is being further clarified by the authorities.
