In recent days, many candidates have reported being helpless because of "fake admission" when they had enough points to pass the entrance exam but the system reported that they failed or were admitted to another school. Some candidates had enough points to enter Saigon University but were reported to have been admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; some candidates were supposed to be admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy but the system reported that they were admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Many candidates are confused and afraid of losing their chance to enroll because they have not been confirmed by any school.
Regarding this issue, to ensure the rights of candidates, VietNamNet has contacted the Ministry of Education and Training to clarify and find a solution.

Speaking with VietNamNet on the afternoon of August 26, a representative of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) said that Ho Chi Minh City University of Education had reported on this matter and had a document proposing to create conditions for candidates to continue the admission process.
According to this person, at this time, the top priority is to resolve the candidates' rights.
“The direction that Ho Chi Minh City University of Education reported is that it will handle it to ensure the rights of candidates. Accordingly, candidates who are qualified to pass the school will still pass. If they are not qualified to pass the school, they will be considered for the next choice. For candidates who should have passed the school but were transferred to the next lower choice, the school will contact related universities for support, coordinate to resolve, and transfer the candidates' wishes to reality to ensure their rights,” he said, adding that the Ministry of Education and Training approved this plan.
However, if following this plan, many schools may exceed enrollment targets.
“The Ministry of Education and Training will consider whether the reason for exceeding the enrollment quota is objective or subjective. If it is due to the subjectivity of the schools (due to perception or incorrect procedures...) in the enrollment work, the training institutions must take responsibility and be handled according to regulations. The Ministry of Education and Training will have to review the technical aspects of the schools to see what the real cause is,” he said.
Regarding the case of candidates who do not see the admission notice for any of their wishes on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training, a representative of the Department of Higher Education said that the "bottleneck" is because the candidate has actually been admitted to a certain school but that school has not yet entered its admission list into the system.
“The regulation clearly states that schools must enter the list of successful candidates into the system before candidates can see and confirm their admission. The list of successful candidates must be entered because the list belongs to each school, not the Ministry of Education and Training. The Ministry is only the place to receive that list and let candidates confirm. When 100% of schools enter it, all students will know where they passed,” he said.
