The exchange was an opportunity to connect students with contestants who had enough points to enter the selection round to celebrate the special 20-year journey and development of the contest.
Chau Gia Bao, a student majoring in Information Technology, shared:
"I feel very happy to have the opportunity to interact, learn and listen to interesting sharing from the contestants who have entered the Selection round of the 20th "Golden Bell of Traditional Music" contest - 2025. This is also an opportunity for me to experience and understand more about the beauty of my nation's traditional culture."
20 years – a journey
HTV's "Golden Bell of Traditional Opera" contest is where many stage actors have become stars, where traditional opera songs imbued with love for the homeland have resounded and been loved by the public nationwide. From here, they have been training children who love their homeland, love their country, and are attached to traditional art with all simplicity and sincerity through their breath, singing and performing style, and above all, the desire to maintain the standards of traditional opera.

Where passion is ignited
The "Golden Bell of Traditional Opera" contest is a place to spread passion, continuing the journey of preserving and developing Cai Luong for today and tomorrow.
That is why this year, HTV kicked off the contest with valuable experiential trips. On the same day, the Organizing Committee brought 16 contestants to interact with soldiers of the Naval Region 2 Command, Brigade 167 in Ba Ria, Vung Tau.
The contestants were very enthusiastic. Contestant Phan Nhat Dang ( Ca Mau ) said: "I was very moved when singing the vọng cổ song "Cầu Bàng vuông Côn Đảo" for the navy soldiers at Brigade 167. I hope to have the opportunity to return."
Candidates Vuong Quan Tri and Phan Nhat Dang
Contestant Vuong Quan Tri said: "At Binh Duong University, I sang a medley of vọng cổ songs to quiz the students. I was excited when they all guessed the name of the song correctly even though I only sang a few words."
Memorable atmosphere
Opening the exchange session at Binh Duong University, the performance "Bac Bling mashup rap Mien Tay" by students of Binh Duong University immediately stirred up the atmosphere of the hall. The blend of modern dance style and contemporary folk sounds created a youthful, vibrant performance but still imbued with the cultural beauty of the Southern people.
The performances in the exchange program at Binh Duong University were elaborately staged.
Next, the contestants of "Chuong Vang vong co" took turns bringing overwhelming emotions through excerpts of cai luong and traditional songs such as: "Diem hen que huong" (performed by Nguyen Tan Dat - Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Trang), "Cung Dan Moi" (Tuan Kiet - Thu Ha)...
Answering the MC's question about how the art of reformed opera has influenced life, contestant Le Pham Thu Ha shared:
"Cai luong and the art of amateur singing are passions that are ingrained in my blood. Even though I am pursuing a veterinary degree, I still follow and keep my passion for Cai luong alive."
The meaningful gifts of the program were given to encourage the spirit of learning at Binh Duong University.
For contestant My Nhung, three times stepping onto the stage, three times she has accepted challenges from the first faltering steps, through the period of honing her mettle. Contestant My Nhung is an example of strength and steadfast spirit, the perseverance to practice and persevere after each failure.
My Nhung's story continues to ignite the passion for vọng cổ for the young generation, affirming that success only comes to those who constantly strive.
Message from artist My Nhung to students of Binh Duong University:
"I wish you all to always have confidence on every journey, never give up. Be persistent in pursuing your goals, because success only comes to those who keep trying. And I hope that in the upcoming Top 3 "Chuong Vang vong co", I will receive encouragement from you from Binh Duong University".
Interspersed among the special performances, the program also has an exciting interactive mini-game. The game "Vong co suc song" helps students gain a deeper understanding of the art of Cai luong through quick questions about the "Chuong Vang vong co" contest and the art of Cai luong.
In addition, the "Guess the name of the traditional opera" section challenged students to identify the song through the lyrics performed by the contestants, with meaningful souvenirs for the winners. In this section, contestant Vuong Quan Tri captured the hearts of the student audience with his warm, powerful voice.
The exchange was also accompanied by SAIGONBANK, contributing to spreading the message of "mutual love" through the scholarship awarding activity for students with difficult circumstances but always striving to excel in their studies and life.
