They work not only with their hands, but also with their hearts, with the desire to constantly innovate.

Typical examples of competition in all professions

At Gieng Day Construction Ceramics Joint Stock Company (Ha Long City) - a bright spot in the Quang Ninh construction materials industry, the emulation movement is strongly promoted. The emulation culture here originates from the encouragement of creativity and the promotion of collective intelligence of the company's leadership. Every year, the company records dozens of technical innovation initiatives from employees with clear effects on productivity, quality, and production costs.

Mr. Doan Tien Dung, General Director of Gieng Day Construction Ceramics Joint Stock Company, shared: “We organize emulation movements in all aspects, from increasing productivity, improving product quality, to ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, caring for the lives of workers, and at the same time promptly rewarding valuable initiatives. Every year, the whole company has more than 20 technical innovation initiatives recognized.”

In 2024, despite difficulties in raw material prices, weather, and market, Gieng Day Construction Ceramics Joint Stock Company still produced over 70.3 million products, with revenue of nearly 99 billion VND, and average income of workers reaching 10.8 million VND/person/month.

One of the typical examples is Mr. Doan Viet Cuong, Team Leader of the Blank Machine Operation Team. Under Mr. Cuong's management, the Blank Machine Operation Team maintains a productivity of 90,000-100,000 thin product pieces/day, 10-15% higher than the average of other teams. In addition to machine operation skills, Mr. Cuong is also enthusiastic in mentoring new workers, promoting the spirit of solidarity and labor safety. "Competition for me is a daily action. Today must be better than yesterday, the product is more beautiful, the machine is more stable, the productivity is higher" - Mr. Cuong shared.

Not only in the processing industry, in the logistics - service sector, the emulation movement has also spread strongly. Van Don International Airport (Van Don Investment Joint Stock Company -Sun Group Corporation) is a clear example. As the first private airport in Vietnam, it aims not only to open the sky, but also to serve customers with the best quality of service.

Over the years, Van Don International Airport's staff have contributed a series of technical initiatives, many of which have been highly appreciated at the provincial and central levels. A typical example is the Electromechanical Department, Infrastructure Engineering Department, with the proposal "Self-repair of X-ray generators on security screening systems", helping the unit save 1.18 billion VND/year, shorten repair time, and improve technical initiative capacity.

Mr. Dam Xuan Binh, Head of the Electromechanical Department, said: “The emulation movement is not something far-fetched, but rather doing a good job every day. In addition to mastering technology, we also implemented a series of other initiatives such as runway patching, parking system backup software... saving hundreds of millions of dong.”

Trade unions accompany, businesses promote competition

In Quang Ninh, where there are more than 400,000 workers   work in the fields   Mining, thermal power, cement, construction materials, logistics, tourism... patriotic emulation movements do not stop at slogans, but are concretized by political tasks, production goals, realistic emulation criteria and timely reward mechanisms.

Quang Ninh Trade Union has proactively launched emulation movements since the beginning of the year, associated with peak periods such as: Workers' Month, Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, 90-day and night emulation to complete quarterly targets... Many places have built specific emulation criteria for each industry, each production team, and machine group, helping emulation to closely follow reality and go into depth.

It can be seen that the patriotic emulation movement in Quang Ninh is going into depth, no longer a slogan, but becoming a specific action in each production line, each working shift.
