The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1270/QD-TTg dated June 24, 2025 promulgating the list of public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST).
Accordingly, public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism were reorganized. Co Loa Studio and the Cinema Technical Center merged into the Vietnam Cinema, Sports and Tourism Center. This center was renamed the Vietnam Cinema, Culture, Sports and Tourism Center, to be completed before August 1.
The decision also stated the content of merging the Vietnam Opera House and the Vietnam Cheo House. Tuong Theater Vietnam became the Vietnam National Traditional Theater.
The Viet Bac Folk Music, Dance and Singing Theatre merged into the Vietnam Music, Dance and Singing Theatre and changed its name to the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Singing Theatre.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has 50 affiliated public service units. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for reviewing and implementing the arrangement of affiliated public service units to ensure organizational streamlining, promote financial autonomy, and improve operational effectiveness and efficiency according to the public service unit arrangement plan approved by competent authorities and current regulations.
