[Photo] More than 124,000 candidates in Hanoi complete procedures for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam
On the afternoon of June 25, more than 1.16 million candidates nationwide completed procedures to take the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. This is a special exam as it applies the 2018 General Education Program for the first time, simultaneously with the old program. In Hanoi, 124,072 candidates registered to take this exam, accounting for more than 1/10 of the total number of candidates nationwide.

At the exam site of Minh Khai Secondary School (Hai Ba Trung District), candidates arrived quite early to complete exam procedures. Volunteers bring water and guide candidates to the exam site. Candidates check the list, exam room and exam room diagram. Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen, Principal of Tran Phu High School (Hoan Kiem), Head of the examination site of Minh Khai Secondary School (Hai Ba Trung) said that at the examination site there are 16 examination rooms, 384 candidates. The examination site has full backup plans in case of following the instructions.
The contingency work at the examination site is checked before the examination. The storage room for candidates is prepared according to regulations. This afternoon, candidates come to the exam site to listen to the regulations and check the information before the exam day. This year, out of a total of 1,162,134 candidates registered for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, 1,137,183 will take the exam under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, while the remaining 24,951 candidates will take the exam under the 2006 program. The parallelism of two programs in the same exam sets high requirements for organization, ensuring fairness and transparency for all candidates.
Candidates listen to the supervisor announce the exam regulations. After completing the exam procedures this afternoon, candidates will take the first exam tomorrow (June 26) with Literature lasting 120 minutes in the morning. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates will take the Math exam lasting 90 minutes. Candidates should be present on time. If they are more than 15 minutes late from the test start time, they will not be allowed to take the exam. This is a strict rule to ensure fairness for all candidates and exam discipline.
