The project to upgrade and renovate the corridors of streets in Nguyen Thai Hoc ward is being implemented on the following routes: Thanh Cong, Hoang Hoa Tham, Le Hong Phong with a total length of sidewalks on both sides of the road of more than 5.6 km and is in the final stage of construction. Taking advantage of favorable weather, the construction unit has been working overtime, increasing shifts, and concentrating all forces and machinery to speed up the progress.
Mr. Dang Van Tin - Director of Hoang Trung Construction Joint Stock Company said: "The route is densely populated and has many businesses, so we have to work "rolling", taking advantage of Saturdays and Sundays and working overtime so as not to greatly affect the daily life and business of the people and the administrative working hours of the agencies. Up to now, we have completed nearly 90% of the work volume".
On Quang Trung and Kim Dong streets (Minh Tan ward), the project to upgrade and renovate the street corridor has a total length of 5.7 km and a total pavement area of over 11,500 m2. The construction atmosphere is more urgent than ever.
With the motto of "doing everything right, doing it neatly", determined not to leave any "dead time", Hong Nam Joint Stock Company has mobilized dozens of vehicles and excavators for construction. Mr. Bien Tuan Hung - Construction Team Leader of Hong Nam Joint Stock Company informed: "In the past few days, we have mobilized 60-80 people to be present at the construction site regularly, divided into many construction teams, and worked overtime on days with favorable weather. Up to now, the project has completed about 70% of the plan. The company is focusing on construction, fully implementing measures to ensure traffic safety, labor safety and environmental sanitation, determined to complete 100% of the volume before June 30".
Mr. Tran Chien on Quang Trung Street excitedly shared: "Recently, many streets have been invested in and upgraded to be modern. These projects not only make the city more beautiful and spacious but also really improve the quality of life of our people."
Mr. Tran Ngoc Son, a resident of Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, said: "We strongly agree with the city's policies and guidelines when implementing projects to upgrade and renovate corridors. In fact, the sidewalks that have been renovated and replaced are much more beautiful and convenient for people, especially the drains and ditches that have been cleared will help prevent localized flooding during heavy rains."
In 2025, Yen Bai city will simultaneously invest in upgrading and renovating corridors such as paving sidewalks, dredging mud in ditches, replacing damaged covers, installing sidewalk curbs, etc. on streets in the wards of Yen Ninh, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Minh Tan, mainly concentrated on the routes of Thanh Cong, Hoang Hoa Tham, Le Hong Phong, Kim Dong, Quang Trung, with a length of over 15 km (two ways), with a total investment of over 70 billion VND.
Up to now, the investment projects to build a number of urban embellishment works in the city have entered the final stage. Along with the initiative of the construction units, the Management Board of Yen Bai City Construction Investment Projects also regularly monitors the progress, urges contractors to implement safe and effective construction solutions, ensuring the quality of the works; works overtime, increases shifts to speed up the progress to ensure the disbursement plan of public investment capital in 2025.
According to Mr. Dinh Ngoc Duong - an officer of the Yen Bai City Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to this point, many roads have been basically completed and put into use. Currently, we are also prioritizing coordination with relevant units to handle arising issues to create conditions for contractors to carry out construction smoothly, ensuring that 100% of the works will be completed and put into use before June 30.
Currently, taking advantage of favorable weather, contractors are focusing on mobilizing human resources to speed up the project items. Upgrading and renovating urban infrastructure on the streets not only aims to renovate the landscape and urban appearance in a synchronous, modern way, ensuring planning but also bringing the best life benefits to the people.
