France 4-0 Morocco

The French women's team entered the 2023 Women's World Cup Round of 16 match against the Moroccan women's team with confidence. After a poor start in the group stage, the European representative gradually regained form and proved that she is a strong candidate for this year's championship race.

After the opening whistle, coach Herve Renard's players quickly took control of the game and continuously put pressure on the Moroccan women's team. The African team tried their best but their defense could not hold out for long. In the 15th minute, left-back Karchaoui made a great cross for Diani to head in from close range to open the scoring for the French women's team.

Conceding the first goal, the Moroccan women's team stuck to their guns but their defense was not good enough to stop the French women's team.

In the 20th minute, striker Diani broke through strongly on the right wing before passing back for Dali to finish, raising the score to 2-0. Three minutes later, it was Le Sommer's turn to speak up when she extended the gap to 3 goals for the French women's team.

For the remainder of the first half, Wendy Renard and her teammates no longer put much pressure on the Moroccan women's team's half. The French women's team continued this tactic in the second half and the Moroccan women's team had a chance to attack.

In the 49th minute, Ouzraoui made a delicate pass for Jraidi to escape, but she did not handle the ball well and the dangerous opportunity passed. 9 minutes later, Ouzraoui herself could not keep up with her teammate's pass. The 3-goal gap made the French women's team somewhat complacent. They played without concentration, often making bad passes in their own half.

In the 40th minute, Vicki Becho crossed the ball accurately for Le Sommer to head in to increase the score to 4-0. In the remaining time, Morocco and France were unable to score more goals despite many opportunities. The victory belonged to the French women's team and they are the last team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
