July "Go to the Village to experience traditional culture"

On the afternoon of June 30, the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups announced that the series of activities "Returning to the Village to Experience Traditional Culture" taking place from July 1 to 31 by ethnic groups aims to introduce culture, traditional customs and create a useful summer playground for young people to visit the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

The series of activities were attended by more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) and 11 localities.

The highlight of the series of activities is the space to introduce traditional culture. There, visitors can learn about architecture, costumes, folk songs and dances, rituals, festivals, and various types of performances, musical instruments, and folk games.

On the weekend, there will be many outstanding activities, including the Rain Bathing Ceremony, also known as the Buddhist Summer Retreat Ceremony at the Khmer Pagoda. The folk song and dance program "Echoes of the Origin" of the people is taking place every day in the Village, introducing traditional culture, love for the homeland, faith in the Party, Uncle Ho, and gratitude to heroes and martyrs on War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.
