According to the Thai Nguyen Province Hydrometeorological Station and the local automatic rain gauge system, the rain has continued from the night of June 20 until noon today. In the last 6 hours, the rainfall has exceeded 100mm, with many places in Thai Nguyen City alone having over 200mm of rain.

Under the influence of the tropical convergence zone combined with low pressure, strong thunderstorms caused prolonged rain from the night of June 20, overloading the drainage system, while rising river water led to widespread flooding.
