Specifically, in the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Medical Examination Council received 487 medical examination records; organized 11 examination sessions, prepared records for 466 cases and concluded and issued minutes for 470 cases, an increase of 5.1% over the same period in 2024.
Of these, 225 cases retired early, 73 cases were exposed to toxic chemicals, 111 cases were disabled, 37 cases were work-related accidents, 8 cases were occupational diseases, 2 cases were war invalids, 1 case was comprehensively assessed, and 13 other cases.
In addition, the Council also performed 502 paraclinical and functional tests to support the accurate and objective assessment process.
The former Bac Kan Province Medical Examination Council also examined, concluded and issued records for 176 cases; mainly disability assessments (153 cases), early retirement (17 cases), along with a number of work accident cases, death benefits and other cases.
Medical appraisal activities not only contribute to ensuring legitimate rights for workers, people with disabilities and policy beneficiaries, but also serve as an important basis for personnel work, social security and ensuring transparency and fairness in policy benefits.
In the coming time, standardizing processes and enhancing coordination between specialized units after the merger will continue to be focused on, in order to improve efficiency and consistency throughout the province.
